BBEdit 9.0 Free Upgrade Eligibility

If you purchased BBEdit 8.5, 8.6, or 8.7 on or after January 1, 2008, you are eligible to receive an upgrade to BBEdit 9.0 free of charge.

Customers who purchased directly from Bare Bones Software within the eligibility period will receive an email message with new license information. Free upgrades will be sent out starting the week of September 02, 2008.

(If you do not receive an email notification by September 12, 2008, and you purchased BBEdit 8.5, 8.6, or 8.7 directly from Bare Bones Software, please contact our Sales Department for assistance.)

If you purchased BBEdit from a reseller during the eligibility period, please follow the steps below to take advantage of this offer. We will process free upgrade requests on a first-come first-served basis.

1. Fax your dated proof of purchase receipt to us at 978-251-0525.
   
   
2. Include your product serial number (which can be found on the CD case).
   
   
3. Include your complete contact information, including the address you want the product registered to and your email address. Please note that we will not be able to send you your free upgrade if you do not include your email address. The information that you provide is protected by our Privacy Policy.

Please also note that you can download the BBEdit 9.0 demo to use until your new product serial number(s) arrives. You can then use the serial number to activate the demo.

Paid Upgrades

If you have any registered commercial version of BBEdit prior to 9.0, or you have a registered copy of BBEdit 8.7 which you purchased prior to the eligibility period, you may purchase an upgrade.
